Cheers to 2020!

Here's to the earthquakes,
The raging fires,
The passionate Earth letting us know it's in desperate need of change.

Here's to the politics,
The bad decisions of those elected to lead without knowing how to.

Here's to the civil wars,
The unrest of social justice,
To the plight of the oppressed and misunderstood.
May we all grow tolerant and wise, rather than fat and happy due to ignorance. 

Here's to science,
And viruses, 
And crowns befitting fallen monarchies.
To the fallen Princes and Princesses who seek more than a provincial life.

And lastly, 
Here's to the essential working class,
To the innovation in the face of necessity,
To those who seek meaning;
And action to the reaction;
A reason to keep giving their best in the worst of times.
