For those of you following the story, our escrow officer just called to say the transaction is recording and will close as of end of business, 3/15/2017. Woop woop! We are excited to announce that after six months of waiting the house is officially under our names. Yay!
There are still many things to finish like the fence and the A/C installation which should happen soon after he gets paid. My front door is still not painted and some outside touches are needed, as is the landscaping, to properly consider the contract closed. For now, we are excited that we have a mortgage again and a place to call home. Plus we already started to unpack and this confirmation of closing is a huge relief; we don’t have to repack and move for a long time coming. 🙂
