Time flies! A year ago I started the blog to have a hobby during my funemployment, brought about a layoff or reduction in work force notice. Since March 20th 2015, I had been looking for ways to creatively communicate my frustration and trepidation towards this new chapter of my life. For the first time in my life I didn’t have a goal or particular interest to explore. I knew I wanted to travel and I needed time off to chill and meditate but I wasn’t expecting the opportunity to show up so soon. Now, almost five months back at the same company that let me go, under an engineering instructor role, I am enjoying the benefits of having kept my mind engaged in writing and philosophizing; I have peace of mind, a new outlook on life and a fierce need to find win-win situations. My younger self would be proud of the new direction my life is taking, and the rewards are so plentiful we still have no clue how it will all be reaped. Bounty, as far as the eyes can see.
Today, May 24th of 2016, I have completed my 200th post, all but 8 are original content and not reblogs. I have made friends in social media, people I would have never met if it wasn’t for the words published in this WordPress page. Fifty one followers in the system, 14 in twitter and 96 in Facebook are no small feat to an introvert like myself. I even have posts in Spanish and readers as far as China and the Philippines. I can honestly say that I feel the international love and the appreciation of the nerdy musings I have thus shared.
Please take the time to revisit the content under its new format (rolled out a month ago) and feel free to comment and post ideas for future topics. My journey is always full of shortcuts, dead ends and bunny trails but that does not preclude me from learning about the subjects and questions dear to you. Anything I can answer, research or question is welcomed! Knowledge is power. Keep reading my friends!
