I Couldn’t Live Not Knowing

I couldn’t live not knowing where the keys are,
Where all the cups and plates are stored.

I couldn’t live not knowing where my wallet was,
where my cellphone went,
or where I can find the instructions for the new vacuum cleaner.

I couldn’t live not knowing where the new video game purchase, or two, are hiding,
much less wait until they magically reappear after complaining for a week about not seeing them.

I couldn’t live not knowing how the bills get paid,
when they get paid,
or how much I owe.

I couldn’t live not knowing how to operate power tools,
how to build a simple wooden structure,
or how to repair common household appliances.

You know who can live not knowing? Modern husbands!

Alas, the gender role swap has taken full effect in the Millennial realms!

As a wife who knows where everything is and should be,
that can DIY like Bob Villa,
and runs the financials,
I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Who says you can’t have it all?
