After surviving the Delta snafu, see link for info, we arrived at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France. The taxiing to the gate felt like forever, which gave me extra time to finish watching Unforgettable. That last scene between Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl serves as a good example of how we felt when we were almost stranded back at SEA with no means to get to DUB. Nevertheless, we will persist on our quest to reach Winterfell.
One security checkpoint and a train ride later, we arrived at gate K-32 to yet another delay. The AirFrance flight AF1716 operated by CityJet – an Avro 4 engine 737 like aircraft – looked well maintained albeit sketchy, but it delivered us safely in the Republic of Ireland. Small jet planes are not my cup of tea but it will do. Now if we could only find my mom (who turned up in Terminal 2) and get our Hilton Garden Inn Custom House hotel rooms early (12 pm check in FTW) we can rest and head out to Guinness.
