DIY Gift Card Bouquet

When I give my family gift cards I usually put them inside greeting cards or dollar store gift card boxes. So boring! By chance, during my sister’s birthday, I stumbled across a cheap and beautiful way to hand them out instead. It is surprisingly easy to make:

Go to your local discount or dollar store and buy tape, wood skewers (straws can be used as well) and vases (glassware works well too). To optimize savings buy the flowers in bulk or at a store like Costco or Sams. (In Seattle, Pike Market has beautiful arrangements for pennies on the dollar. Check local markets or fairs for bargains.) Tape the cards to the skewers and insert inside the arrangement. Ta da!

Depending on the number of recipients or amount of gift cards being handed out, this solution can be less costly than a card per person, and can double as a decorative center piece. For less than five or six bucks you can wow your friends and family. 😀

Enjoy!
