The Upgrade List (a poem)

Booked my flight, checked in and ready to roll
I look at the upgrade list and what do you know!
I am 3 out of 3 for a better seat.

I go to sleep, full or wonder and pride,
My Medallion perks ready to fly,
And I look at the list to gloat to my peeps,
To discover that now I’m number 33.

It was nice to dream of free liquors and booze,
Of chicken and pasta,
And How do you dos,
But alas,
It was not meant to be,
Now I’m back to row 43.

Maybe in another trip I’ll join the elite,
In the land of big screens and plush comfort suites.
Of crisp suits and ties,
And free snacks at mid flight.
Until we meet again Upgrade List.
