My direction.
I can’t breath.
The weight of your departure heavy on my chest,
The anxiety of knowing someone else may love you keeps me awake at night.
As much as I’d love to ignore it,
No one can take your place.
We were one, pieces of the same soul,
The same warrior,
The same team.
Even when they lay my body to rest,
My feelings for you will endure,
Transcending time and space,
Looking to feed an alternate reality.
The notion than in a multiverse,
There is a version of us that resonate together, vibrating and coexisting in lovely harmony.
Please reassure me that all is relative,
That I will get over your departure,
And as the light dims,
And the distance grows,
Time will slow down to a crawl.
The tears down my cheeks testament of the value of what was left behind.
