She Gave

She lived her life giving her heart…

Giving unconditional love to all the people in her world,
To those weathering their own thunderstorms she provided shelter
And she gave herself and all her strength to those who needed it. To us, her dear friends.

And what did she take in return?

She took the burden of our shoulders and laid them to rest,
the secrets that we couldn’t keep.
She took the memories with her after she died of a broken heart.

For all that was taken from her was never returned.

Hollow and baren there she lies as we grieve her departure.
