On February 2nd, 2016 the blog officially published its 100th post, and I have a sticker to prove it. Hehe. This labor of love that started as a hobby to keep me busy during the layoff has transformed into a phenomenon with its own followers. Although there are only 31 official wordpress peeps in my roster, between facebook, retweets and shares, we have managed to reach out to over 2,000 people in our first 9 months of life! My baby! Awwww!
When I opened the facebook page, I hadn’t thought that between my friends, family and supporters we would reach over 75 likes in two weeks. Time is flying by fast, and it makes me appreciate ever more the support and kindness of all of our readers. I can’t stress enough how glad I am to those who encouraged me to pursue this medium and to write, and to those who gave their support by giving my columns a read. Words have always found me, and the sentiments and opinions I have penned have years of research, gripping and knowledge behind them. Teaching, mentoring and entertaining others are the reason I enjoy reading and public speaking so much; it is my biggest legacy to the world, to you.
Who knows, maybe this takes off and I can become a full time writer and speaker! It wouldn’t be a bad thing and it helps me keep my sanity. The more I learn and experience the more I have to share, and my hope is you feel the same way about your life, the nerdy parts of you and the future.
If anyone has a particular subject they would like me to research or post about, I am open to suggestions. 🙂 Some of my best work has come from interactions with humankind and the beautiful mother Earth. People have made a comment that has now been immortalized in eprint. You never know what you will find around the corner.
Wishing you many safe and happy landings!
